What's the most compact, best quality, easiest to transport/set-up electronic music busking 'instrument'?

I'm thinking an iPad with a battery powered soundsystem in a wheelbarrow - but, more to the point, how repetitive can I be? (As in techno/rave, as 'repetitive' is apparently illegal).

Also, what's the law regarding 'busking parties'? As in pro street-performance, with invitations and advertising.
